Know your SPO
If you are a delegator or potential delegator, it's important to verify your stake pool operator (SPO) has the skills necessary to run a pool in a professional manner.
We are talking about your hard earned ADA here and we take the responsibility of running our stake pool very seriously.
LOCO is a bare metal stake pool powered by Dell PowerEdge servers running ubuntu over at&t fiber.
No part of the stake pool is hosted in the cloud and all unnecessary ports are closed, including ssh.
We believe bare metal is extremely important in sustaining the true decentralization of the Cardano network.
I have a busy day job as a senior software engineer where I write code and manage a small team of developers.
I enjoy working with customers and project managers to develop software that meets their needs.
I have worked with numerous development tools and languages and I'm a fast learner.
I have always been a top performer with a solid track history and good references.
Below is a mini-resume of my work experience:
ASRC Federal - Senior Software Engineer/Technical Lead
Intellica Corporation - Principal Software Engineer
USAA - IT Systems Analyst
Science Applications International Corporation - Senior Software Engineer
Computer Sciences Corporation - Software Engineer
Computer Data Systems Inc. - Systems Engineer / Task Leader
United States Air Force - Small Computer Help Desk Manager / Database Application Development
Family life is everything to me! I am happily married and we have an amazing, strong-willed daughter and 3 dogs.
My wife is a middle school teacher, so between her schedule and my schedule our life is beautifully hectic.
Our daughter is in dance so we spend much of our free time at dance practice and competitions.
We also enjoy fishing trips and spending time outdoors barbecuing on our screened in patio or sitting around the fire-pit area I built.
San Antonio, Texas is my adopted home and I have been here over 25 years.
I have been playing guitar for over 35 years, it's definitely a passion of mine and one where you never stop learning!
I enjoy wood working and have built many things around the house, both inside and outside the home.
I also build electric guitars from scratch using my own designs and templates.
I enjoy working with electronics and have built and repaired numerous guitar tube amps over the years.
I have also wound my own guitar pickups and occasionally do guitar and amp repair for friends.
I'm into motorcycles and enjoy riding and working on them.
My most recent bike project was converting my 883 Harley Sportster to a 1250.
I'm basically a 'project junkie' and I always have something going on in the garage.
I also enjoy fishing and bowling.
Fitness is important to me and I go to Golds gym almost everyday where I use the elliptical machine and do light lifting.
I've been going to the gym my entire adult life, it's a great stress reliever!
I wouldn't call myself a fitness nut though. I do like to eat, but I try to live healthy.
I do not smoke and rarely drink, my life is too busy for anything that slows me down.
I believe education is important and I am well qualified to run a stake pool, please review my credentials below.
